Omega Centauri ( NGC 5139)

Hakos/Namibia

This is the biggest and brightest globular cluster in our skies. It is an easy naked eye object, visible as a fuzzy 'star' in the constellation Centaurus.
Recent investigations are pointing to the existence of a medium size black hole in the center, supporting the theory that the star cluster is actually the remaining core of a dwarf galaxy, whose outer shell has been wripped off by tidal forces from our Milky way.

Oh Wow! This is one of the best pics of Omega Centauri! The colours are just perfect, the only flaw is the lack of focal length although its refreshing to see a slightly wider view. Keep it up!
