Aussie reptiles

Australia is a fantastic country for wildlife, and interestingly enough we are blessed with the top ten most venomous snakes in the world (in terms of venom toxicity). We are also home to the worlds deadliest spiders, jellyfish, octopus, ticks, trees, fish, shellfish and mammal (the male platypus). Is that why we're called the lucky country?
The reptile fauna of Australia is ancient and each species has evolved as part of an ecological community which has shaped the behaviour, form and colour of the animal. I hope these photographs will show these animals in the environment that they are part of, where they belong.
