The water pooling at the end of the storm drain pipes is a favorite for seagulls. The sun can heat the puddles to about 100 degrees F. Unfortunately, the warm water also attracts people and photographers. These pipes were installed a long time ago and reached far out into the ocean. Nowadays high tide barely reaches them. So these pipes will be removed soon and replaced by a more efficient storm drain system. They surely make an interesting focal point.
