I'd totally forgot this quote, so must tell you how much I love it:

A photographer went to a socialite party in New York. As he entered the front door, the host said 'I love your pictures - they're wonderful; you must have a fantastic camera.' He said nothing until dinner was finished, then: 'That was a wonderful dinner; you must hava a terrific stove.'” Sam Haskins

Hi Ken - Just browsing through a number of Pirate Radio related pages, and I came across the photos you took at BBC Pirate Essex in 2009.
You mention that the pirate radio exhibition pictures belong to the LV18 - In fact the exhibitions is owned by Pirate Memories, a website dedicated to 60's & 70's offshore radio.

Dear Ken,
Included in the photos of the band of the parachute regiment playing at the Colchester bandstand is a picture of my daughter playing the saxophone. Is it possible to purchase a copy? Many thanks

Your photographs are wonderful. It is a pleasure to view them. Do you use an editing software to get the crisp bright pictures? If so, what editing software?

Hi Ken

Just to let you know that Run4Fun is taking place this Thursday (9 Sep) at Castle Park. I know you usually come and take pictures! If you can make it and let me know your pics are online I will try and put a link to them on the Run4Fun page if there's room!

I was looking back over my work on Pbase and had been working as Lizard Lady not just Art2license. Mostly take pictures in my garden in the smoky mountains at this time. I had such a collection of Lizard Photos. Your profile image reminds me of Michael Jackson a little bit. Also, you have been on here a long time, longer than anybody I think I have viewed. I noticed you have a redbubble site, I do too. Redbubble.com JeffeeArt4u I will look at your work. My things are digital new images.

Ken,
Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon a picture of my son, your "colonial soldier" challenge. He is a life long reenactor. He still has that same King's 8th regimental coat and it looks even worse, or better, depends on how you look at it. The event was a festival in Ohio, USA. He said he needs to work on his serious-somber look.

Ken - thanks so much for the comment on my Stonehenge image. It was an amazing day - January 2007. Cold and windy and our family of 5 and 3 Aussie were the only people there - so I didn't have to Photoshop any people out of the photo! It was my husband's dream come true to take our granddaughter to see the stones he grew up with. I cannot imagine seeing them for the first time in the summer with a zillion tourists in shorts and sandals. It was an amazing experience.

Thanks for the photo comment. Yours are great and I especially like your dog pics. It is nice to see dog pics in the top photos as pets instead of what someone else had thought they should be.

Hi Ken - Thanks so much for your recent comment on my attempt at Abstract Expressionism. Abstracts are not what I usually do - but this challenge on Creative Matrix really inspired me to have a go - it's been fun. So much of what I do I think "will this sell?" This was just pure play. I'll be back soon to check out your galleries again. Carol

Ken,
I can see that you are located in the UK, but have you ever lived in Australia? I am searching for the Ken Chambers that we met and traveled with through Southeast Asia in 1979. This may not be you, but if it is, this is Nancy, the Yankee sheila from California. Let me know, ok?

Thanks for the introduction to your site you gave me this morning. I have enjoyed browsing. I think you have taken a picture of the sailing barge I travelled on last Tuesday - the Victor is based at Mistley and goes up and down the river to Harwich and beyond.
If I can find out how, I will send you my own version of The Woodbridge scene, which I have painted, of course.

Hi Ken; I see by your comments under a sketch that you've been in hospital; hope you are fully recovered. I'm a homeopath in New Zealand and I was wondering if you would allow me to use one of your excellent photos in some work I'm doing. If you would consider this please contact me on: lee-hay AT ihug.co.nz and I'll send you all the details. Thanks very much, happy snapping, Alicia

Here I am again Ken. Since my e-mail didn't arrive as it should have I will say thanks here for your sharing with me what camera you have. You sure know how to use yours better than I know how to use mine. I was guessing by the quality of your photographs you were using something like top of the line Canon or Nikon. I will be back to visit often!

Hi Ken,

I was the Marine (the Duke of York and Albany's Maritime Regiment, raised in 1664 by Charles II and the successful defenders of Landguard Fort, Harwich and England from the last major opposed invasion of England by the Dutch on 2nd (12th our Calendar) July 1667) who showed you around the Fort. Thank you so much for the photos you sent me and the fine display in your Gallery of Landguard Fort.

If any the visitors to your site would like to know more about the Fort, they can find details on a link from my site at www.rsaf.co.uk or at www.landguard.com

Thanks again and I am so pleased you enjoyed the tour,

Ken,

It was a pleasure to meet you at Shotley Marina the other day and thank you so much for putting the photographs on your gallery page. I looked through lots of the others and you have some truly lovely ones. I am still trying to find out the proper name for that lovely classic yacht you photographed, I'll let you know. It looks like being a lovely weekend over the bank holiday, so please, please try to get to one of the points overlooking Harwich Harbour. The yachts will be racing from about 10:00 on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Oh, and if you are interested in atmospheres you should try to visit the marquee at Levington Marina for all the after sailing jollities. I shall look out for you somewhere over the weekend.

Best Regards,

Anne.
