Fixing the link trail

The Colchester Station was opened in 1843 by the Eastern Counties Railway. It is currently operated by Abellio Greater Anglia, which also runs all trains serving the station.
Now after 173 years, it has been decided to signpost the straight line route to the town centre.( Fixing the trail) Which is a walk of 20 minutes.
The association with Elephants goes back to the Roman invasion AD41. when Emperor Claudius arrived from Rome, bringing additional troops including a force of elephants with him.
