Pseudohexagonal fluorite gem complex penetration twin, 47 mm across. Chumar Bakhoor, Hunza Valley, Northern Areas, Pakistan.

The large flat face shared by the members of this twin is an octahedral face. The dodecahedron is another clearly visible form and other forms are also present (the trapezoidal icositetrahedrons m {311} and n {211}). Internally, this pink gem is nearly flawless, though a tiny air bubble is visible.

Published (Figure 13) in The Mineralogical Record, volume 52, March-April 2021. Smith & Holtkamp, Twinning in Fluorite Crystals.
