4mm Zimmerstutzen

Front loader. Uses 4.35mm graphited balls and a 4mm case. The indoor rifles were shot at 15m.

Hi I just picked up a zimmerstutzen and it is missing the loading mechanism can you get them or do they have to be fabricated and help would be great.Also can you still get ammo for these

I have a zimmerstutzen that is missing the "bolt" or bullet holding part. I would like more information on the rifle and where I might find a replacement for the missing part.

Hey There..I'm a serios gun collector..just purchased a schuetzen rifle..it has a loading port about 6 inches down the barrel..I dont have a spoon to load it looks like 4mm..any help to locate one??Ilove this piece veryunique..THANKS

The Swiss diopter sights were available At Dixie Dunworks both for around $140/
My barrel was rifled from the muzzle about ten inches. Loaded through a port underneath via a loading spoon, no mechanism.A macinest unscrewed the 4 mm insert barrel and built a bolt and cut down a 22 rifle barrel and installed it. Shoots 22 shorts greatRod

Can you send me photos of the internal parts of the gun, Barrel removed and parts that operate the firing pin from the breech block back to the action. I have one of these guns that is missing all of the internal parts including the barrel, rod?, rear sight, front sight, and the whole side mount breech assembly. I can send photos of mine. i got some 4mm shells that are in a can of 250. I have 2 cansone is full and one has a few out of it. The date of the bottom of the cans is Sept. 11 1961. Is there any interest in these guns? I have 2 of them I traded for that I don't really need. One is an external hammer (sidelock) and the other is internal. Both look like old schuetzens.

I take it that this is your rifle. I have a match or sister to this rifle. It is not signed but I've found another, which is also a duplicate, that is signed Hoffacker of Munchen (Munich). Has anyone done research on this particular type of Zimmer/Maker? Thanks for any info. lbjr4065@sbcglobal.net

I still have this Bavarian style zimmerstutzen. Since the barrel sleeve was removable, I had a smith mfr a 22 cal. barrel along wuth a miniature bolt. It fires up to shorts and is pretty accurate. Can send picks if you want. This rifle has a silver presentation plate inlayed on the stock. Oscar&Carl Beck had this rifle built by Miller&Cal Greiss of Munchen and presented it in 1890 to the Nordlingen shooting festival on its 500 year anniversary. I have no idea how this piece got into the US?

First thank you for the photos. I have found one of these rifles in a local pawn shop in exellent condition. I myself was intrested in value the owner is looking to get $3000 out of it. I would love to own it for my collection . If you have any more info. please email me .

I have a 4mm rifle built by Miller&Val Greiss. There is no type of loading system except for the cutout under the barrel where the ammo is inserted. Rifle based on a hawkins black powder barrel. Long firing pin cocked by opening the triggerguard olever. Swiss diopter sites, metalwork engraved and stock is fully carved shutzen bavarian style. Rifle in good shape including the 8" rifled barrel. I have no isea of it's value.
