Two stare-me-down images of a Great Horned Owl.

It has been over a year since I last saw and photographed a GHO. A group of us were out looking for Grosbeaks, when fellow photographer "Penny" rushed over to tell us that there was a GHO in a park where we often find and photograph birds. Needless to say we jumped in our vehicles and drove over. Luckily the Owl was still there trying to have a nap. Some Crows did come by to harass the Owl, but they did not stick around long. This did, however give us a chance to catch the Owl with its eyes open.
