Three images of a melanistic Chipmunk and one of a normal one for comparison.
This black melanistic Eastern Chipmunk was around for several years; however, to my knowledge it has not been seen since last Spring. The following three images are my last shots of it.
Top Image: Where did "Blackie" go? My last fleeting glimpse of it, April 30, 2013.

Giving me the eye.

Getting greedy.

A normal Eastern Chipmunk posted for comparison with the melanistic one in the top three images.
