Ottawa West

A second posting of this rare visitor to our area. I took about 25 shots, but managed only a couple of OK shots as the bird was generally up high, behind a tree or low and partially hidden. I went back a second time two days later, but the bird was not there then.

Great find, Hank! I am happy you got some good shots of one. I have never had luck photographing them. As you mentioned, they always seem to stay well hidden.

Nice find. I've frequently been the victim of branches, leaves, large rocks, etc., that have obscured a pristine view of a rare visitor.
