A family of five Cooper's Hawks (Mom, Dad and three young) has been hanging out and having meals in a large tree in one of our nature parks. This is one of the young. Note, the fine baby hairs/feathers still sticking out from the top of its head. Also note, the yellowish eye which is common for young Cooper's hawks. Adults have reddish eyes.
