Four images of a "Wanna-be" Woodpecker, aka a Chickadee.

Top image: Digging deep to construct the nest cavity.

Retrieving a beak full of wood chips.

A quick look in the direction of the clicking cameras.

Spitting out the wood chips to be dispersed by the wind.

REPEATED AS NECESSARY - until the cavity/nest is completed.

Neat series, a Hank! We shot a pileated in Florida that was spitting out wood chips just like this chickadee. Fund to catch the action!
