Yesterday afternoon, the Owl was found perched on a tree branch about 15 meters from its roost-hole. (see http://www.pbase.com/hankvv/image/159999289 ). This morning we found it perched on top of a broken off tree trunk a few feet from where it was found yesterday afternoon. It was very hot both yesterday and this morning. I suspect that it was just too hot in the roost-hole and that, hence, the Owl decided to perch more in the open. The Owl was mostly just sleeping, only opening its eyes a few times.
