The little owl is woken from its sleep by some big rain drops initially coming down slowly, then turning into heavy rain. The Owl is constantly looking up as if to determine where the rain is coming from. In this image, it appears to have had enough of the rain. It gets up, Turns around, takes one final look up, then suddenly takes off towards its roost cavity and disappears inside. The three of us, make a fast retreat to our cars, located a good 10 minutes away. Time to go for a coffee and dry out.
