Five images of a young Cooper's Hawk once again coming up empty when looking for lunch.

Top Image: Tail up, wing out as it checks the inside of the evergreen shrub for Sparrows.


Tail down, still looking.


Coming up for air. Then, it seems to spot something in the next shrub.


A quick flight/hop to the next shrub.


Taking a good look, but alas, again no cigar.

Note, the Hawk eventually spots a small bird flying overhead towards my feeders. The Hawk takes chase, but I'm not sure of the outcome.
