Five images of Squirrels feeding on top of our shrubs after a recent record snowfall.
Top Image: A Black/Gray Squirrel checking out the the situation. Note this is how I found the snow the morning after the snowfall; that is, with the hole in it. I placed some sunflower seeds on the bottom of the hole, hoping to attract a Cardinal.

The following morning, the right leg of the hole had collapsed and a Red Squirrel was enjoying the sunflower seeds comfortably seated under the canopy.

Oops, the Squirrel reached a bit too far for a seed and slid over the edge.

Scrambling back up to continue eating.

Comfortably back under the snow canopy, but there is company on top.
Note: I expected the canopy to collapse and was ready to take a shot in case it did; however, since there were no seeds on top, the Squirrel on top immediately got off again and the canopy stayed intact. that is, until the rain the next day.
