Ottawa West

Another beautiful little warbler, one of some 25 that frequent or pass through our neighbourhood every Spring-Fall. The first ones should be arriving again in a matter of weeks; however, even then we'll have to temper our expectations/activities and keep our distances as there are often large groups of photographers in the popular birding spots. Some of these photographers can be most aggressive, especially if a "lifer" or special bird appears.

You are right Hank, everybody needs to be careful, also while birding.

Such a fine capture of this little warbler, and again, I just love the very green setting.

You found a gold mine with this green natural setting.

This is a welcome reminder, and a beautiful one too, of incipient spring, and a good point about necessary social distancing.

Nice one! Possibly my favorite warbler. When I was 14, I spotted my first ever in a small maple tree along our street while I was playing street hockey! Of course I stopped to look at it and point it out to a birder friend. The others couldn't understand what we were so excited about. I feel sorry for them to this day.
