A scene from the past. This was a typical Fall scene in the ponds at one of our local parks (AHP) Typically one would see quite a variety of Fall-migrating birds there; however, not so much these past five years or so. Not sure why, but maybe the food source has been depleted??

In this image there are three male and one female Hoodies, one sleeping Scaup and an opportunistic Gull. The Gull would stay close to the Hoodies who were constantly diving for lunch. The Gull would then pounce on them to try to steel their catches as soon as they surfaced.
