Ottawa West

OK folks this is the last one from this series with the Cooper's. Initially, I spotted this Cooper's flying across the water to the far side of a side-stream of the Ottawa River. It perched there in a shady spot behind some branches. It then dove down to the edge of the water and changed position a few times. Finally, it flew across to my side of the stream and perched close-by. Unfortunately, someone immediately flushed it.

Nice job following this Coopers Hawk you saw and took nice advantage of the opportunity.

Hi Hank - I got two that frequent our backyard and my feeders set unused for up to 3 hours on some days; I'd gladly sent this parent/child duo up North!
