Ballard, WA

Six whimsical trolls were hand-built using recycled wood over the summer by Danish recycle artist, Thomas Dambo, and his crew, with the help of many volunteers. These trolls have been installed in various locations in Washington and Oregon, challenging people to find them all. A cluster of colorful bird houses on a pole serves as a clue - often found at a trailhead.

Frankie is the youngest and angriest troll of them all. He is crushing a bench in front of the National Nordic Museum with his bare feet.
