Even just in the short time we were there, more and more people started arriving at the beach for picnics and swimming, clearly a favorite pastime in this hot and humid city. The women do go wading in their abayas -- I did too, although not only it but my jeans got soaked, making for a soggy few hours while being driven around the city! This was a place where I had to be super careful taking pictures, so I got what I could quickly and unobtrusively...
