Geothermal!

This probably seems like an odd picture to post, but it was taken in our friends’ house in Reykjavík, and I found the whole setup quite fascinating. They had some spa and sauna in their basement (a leased house), and at first I thought this piping was for that, but it wasn’t – their home heating and water were totally geothermal, so no furnace or boiler. I think that is really using the island’s vast energy resources well.
