We found some interesting buildings in an area that seems to have been the old financial district. This could have been Olaya Road at this point, but it suddenly turns into a one-way street, so we ended up driving all over the place in detours around it, which led to more architectural finds. At one point there was an absolutely enormous crowd of men in the middle of a street, something it’s best to avoid (but we couldn’t so had to make our way slowly through them). It turned out that migrant laborers had gathered for Friday prayer, and I guess the mosque was too small to accommodate all of them. Tim thanked me later for restraining myself and not trying to get a picture of them. I really wanted to, but it simply would not have been a good idea.
