We went back to Piscataway National Park, situated on the Potomac River in Maryland, where we saw several ospreys and great blue herons as well as a lot of red-winged blackbirds. It’s always difficult to decide which pictures to use since we both often take shots of the same thing. In this case I chose Tim’s because the eye was more prominent, although I liked the pose and feather detail in mine. He always takes the in-flight pictures, which I can never get right, and has a longer lens than me, so sometimes there's no decision to make.
