Quiet moment in the city, Macau

Macau is an autonomous region on the south coast of China, across the Pearl River Delta from Hong Kong. A Portuguese territory until 1999, it reflects a mix of cultural influences. Its giant casinos and malls have earned it the nickname "Las Vegas of Asia."

This could look like the older parts of town in, say, Kuala Lumpur except for the thick clothings they are wearing ... a moment of respite for the elderly woman in the centre with her own small space, contrasting with the busy street in the background. V

not as garish or cartoonish as Las Vegas, but Macao looks just as busy, even back then..
