Pécs: Hungary's Culture Capital

We finally had the occasion to drive to Pécs in Southern Transdanubia, both to see this city that was named a European Capital of Culture in 2010 and to search for the famous home-town product, Zsolnay porcelain. Pécs is a charming city that more than lived up to our expectations, and the ceramics, especially at the Zsolnay Museum, were exquisite. Pécs has a reputation of being one of the sunniest cities in Hungary, but the day we went was unfortunately one of the few where there was very little sun (and incredibly cold). Definitely worth another visit in better weather. THIS GALLERY IS CURRENTLY A WORK IN PROGRESS.
