I have a NC36 and am having difficulty obtaining an exhaust for it. (Honda Ireland want €1410 for a 4 into 4!) I currently have a Yoshimura 4 into 1. Has anybody any suggestions?

Nice to meet another NC36 owner! Where are you based?
Most parts are shared with bikes like the super four, Hornet and others of the nineties. Brake pads are commonly made for Honda by various 3rd party manufactors. The parts list is on the internet and you can see the code for each item. The middle letters/digits refer to the bike type the part was originally designed for. E.g. for the NC36 that is "MBE" Most parts come from other bikes. The exhaust pipes, engine and fenders are specific for this bike. David Silver Spares does not have stock but can order from Japan. I also had contact with ILoveMotor.jp and they can send stuff slightly cheaper or 2nd hand. Hope this helps.

Hi Dennis,
Same here, not ridden my CB400 in Winter but hope to get it on the road before spring. Always afraid that it'll start rusting again, considering all that grid on the road.
The latest news here is that I met up with the Singapore Fours gang. See the gallery here:http://www.pbase.com/hiddemans/singapore_fours it was a beautiful sight to see so many fours together and we made quite a few heads turn in Holland Village.

I have not done much re my bike for some time , I start it up now and again. However I plan to get it back on the road in March and ride each week to a bike club in St Albans. I will have to change the oil first and give it a polish. I like all the photos

I couldn't reach you per email. Did you get your bike from Fastline in Preston? That's where mine came from originally. I can relate to the rusting. As you can see from the photos, corrosion is a problem not just of the frame and fenders but also of the aluminium rims and hubs. I had the wheels respoked this Summer. Mechanically the bike is sound however and the motor is fine. Cheers, Hidde

Hello Hidde,

came across your gallery of your Honda CB400 Four V by accident whilst searching for a photo to prove to my prospective insurers that the bike is not a figment of my imagination.....I bought mine brand new in Dec 1999 and ffrom the minute of delivery it started to disintegrate and rust before my very eyes....good to see there are a few of us out there with such an unusual model....

Sorry for the delay. I don't have the NC36 manual which is in Japanese anyway. I use the manuals for the CB-1 / CB 400 Superfour which are readily available on the internet. There are also Japanese websites that specify certain service procedures on the NC36 with pictures. Google will translate for you. The parts list is onhttp://www.btinternet.com/~powerslide//NC36/
