I have a special fondness for paintings in a scroll format. Consequently a number of my photos are in a long vertical or horizonal handscroll format. Unfortunately most computers have very small viewing screens and the original photo cannot be seen without quite a bit of scrolling. I look forward to the day when these photos can be seen completely on most viewing screens in full resolution without scrolling.

September 2004. Initially this gallery was set up just for handscroll format paintings. But now, I will be adding sky paintings in varied format sizes. In post processing, I very rarely if ever, alter colors. However, I do change contrast relationships which often intensifies the existing colors in the photograph. If the contrast change seems unnatural to me, I reject the change and show the original photo.


Most of these photos were taken of the western or southwestern horizon from an apartment terrace in Greenwich Village, NYC.
