Je n'ai vu que "people, somewhere ..." C'est un travail extraordinaire, d'une rare qualité humaine comme esthétique. tout y est d'une grande sensibilité et d'une grande rigueur en même temps, cette dernière ne faisant que renforcer la première. Voilà des photos habitées. J'en suis encore ému.

I just came across your pbase account "Moments" and got to see what I felt was there when I go out to shoot, but never seem to capture. Now I know it is possible to capture those moments and will keep trying. Great work!

For reply to "Guest of october 30th": Thank you for your warm comments. The right tittle in French is: "Des lumières et des Ombres" 1984. I don't know if an english translation exits. This man was a very great photographer and his work was inspired by Dutch painters. I teach these techniques of painting (and others), and we had naturally a lot of things to exchange; But Dutch painters (and others) teached me more... Cordially, G

Mr. Noblet, Your artistry is breathtaking. An article on your work in the forthcoming January 2006 issue of: the magazine "Digital Photographer" mentions that you were greatly inspired by a book by Henri Alekan called: "Shadows of Light". Is there some way that I could buy an English translation of that book?
