The lighting washed out the beautiful fur texture and I felt I might be able to find some in Photoshop. I worked from a small file and using Adobe Camera Raw started by lowering the brightness a bit, and using the clarity slider to bring out more contrast. Opened in Photoshop I further edited by using the Mediachance's ReDynaMix plug-in which gives an "hdr" effect to images. Toned down the default garish color and contrast and then worked on the eyes and nose/mouth area with the dodge tool in PS set for shadows. Update: Now that I have my new eyeglasses after cataract surgery I think this looks a bit harsh. A touch of soft focus, allowing the texture of the fur to remain, would make for a more pleasuing image. I like to use Harald Heim's FocalBlade Plugin's Soft Blur option.
