Peter, I found your galleries following a post from dpr. Your work is beautiful! Each slide I viewed was beautiful.
Your notes on the little pany cameras are an eye opener too. My wife is brighter than I--she has one and I don't!
Beautiful work, well taken, and well thought out.

Regards,
DaveL

I am blown away Peter with your pictures. I came across this while looking for sample shots taken with the Lumix ZS3. I just order this camera for a typical compact but I am totally amazed with all your picture along with the captures taken with a point and shoot. I can only wish to be able to get the same clarity and sharpness that you deplayed. Are this raw pics with the ZS3 or twicked somewhat.

Once again beautiful work and thanks for Sharing
Sincerely Owen from Toronto, Canada

Hi, Peter

Thanks again for all you help. I was at Ischia from May 18th to May 21. I was planing to pay you a visit but the conference schedule was just too full and I didn't make it.

I managed to visit the castle and took a boat tour around the island. But I didn't get chance to visit nearby islands and cities.

I love this place, for that i really envy you to be able to live in such a wonderful place. I think i am going to visit it again, with my family.

Best,

J

Peter,
Wonderful wonderful work.I like the fact that in most of your photos your comment a lot about the scene-something I strive to do but many times think no one will read it anyway so I fail to do so.Well...I for one,do read it.
I also want to thank you for putting the pbase screens in a gallery.I was able to figure out by your images that you can change your number of pics per page to infinite.I just went through all my galleries and made the change.
So I thank you.

Peter,

Thanks for visiting my galleries and for your nice comment. I was indeed very lucky to catch some interesting clouds and lighting during my short stay in Rome. I enjoyed your galleries as well. They make me want to visit Ischia.

Hi Peter,
Nice to talk to someone from Ischia after all these years.
I will try to pass on some of my old photos of Ischia,
could be a few weeks, we're off to the US next week to see our
grandchildren.

Theunis - I prepared the 2005 calendar using page templates that were included on the cover-disk of a British digital photography magazine, although I've now forgotten which one!
If it's any help, the central element is the 35mm film frame, a version of which you can see here:http://www.pbase.com/isolaverde/image/63131436

I've also used the wonderful free calendar page templates prepared by a pbase member - here:http://www.pbase.com/455rocket/calendar
Soon be time to start working on the 2007 version!

Peter
On your calendar you use a 'film' border - where can I get hold of that border?

Kind regards

Bruce,
You're probably thinking of this "dpreview" thread - have a read, you'll see the whole tale as it developed!

The fix seems to have worked - six or seven months have gone by now and I've had further more problems, although I use the camera a lot less these days, just in case!

Hope it works for you,
Peter

Greetings Peter. Sorry for the late reply. I have seen the captions you added - much better this way, of course. As for your question, yes, I have covered quite a mileage but only during 10 days. The D70 along with some filters and an extra lens: sigma 70-300 and a folding tripod, all fit nice and neat in my small Tamrac-digital backpack. I also take it along on my mountain-bike journeys in Israel. Cheers, Shmuel.
