I have always enjoyed taking pictures. In the past I had typical point and shoot film cameras. In 2002 I became more serious about my photography and purchased a Minolta5 SLR film camera plus some assorted lenses. I tried digital in early 2005 with a Canon A510 P&S and in late 2005 I bought a Konica Minolta 5D digital SLR. I upgraded to the Sony A700 digital SLR in fall 2008. In late fall 2011, I added a Sony 580 camera. I mainly use a Tamron 200-500 lens for bird images and a Sony 18-250 for scenery. Some pictures may be with a Sony 70-400 which I rented for our January and April, 2012 Florida trips.
In 2014 I bought the Sony A77m2 and the new Tamron 150-600 lens. A bit heavy! Will see how it goes. A year or two later due to shoulder issues I should no longer hand hold this combination so only use it on a tripod.
Currently I am moving toward the mirrorless cameras. I have an Olympus M-1 and several lenses including the Panasonic 100-400. I recently added the Olympus M-II.
I enjoy taking nature type images - particularly birds. I do take scenery when we are on trips. And pictures of family as well (but they are not posted here). I also use a Canon Powershot 50sh at times, when carrying a large camera and lenses are not practical.
I have exhibited my images at several area libraries and a local coffee house. Several have been published in a calendar.
