Sheep on the Rocks at Sunset

With the evening light slowly fading, the rocks retain the heat of the day
for quite some time - that's probably why these sheep have climbed on top.
Warm evening light on the heavily eroded granite tors of Dartmoor presents
wonderful photo opportunities for exploring textures and shadows.
It's well worth taking a tripod to help maximise depth of field and
ND filters so that the setting sun does not blow the highlights.
This shot was taken about a mile off the military road above
Okehampton beyond the Army camp.

Free living, green pastures, heaven for the sheep. Great photo.
