San Manuel's pavilion was erected in 1923 within the project of the Hospital of the Holy Cross. Designed by Lluis Domenech i Montaner,was completed by his son Pere Domčnech i Roura, who later would take over the work of the hospital complex on the death of his father the same year. The last patient´s pavilion to be built in Central Avenue, at the end of it, in front of Nostra Sra. de Montserrat´s pavilion , between San Rafael and the Central Pavilion
