With a height of nearly 300 meters, Staubbach Falls is the second highest waterfall in Switzerland. In the summer warm winds swirl the waters around, so that the Falls spray in all directions. These droplets of water spray gave the brook and the waterfall its name. (Staub = dust).
Staubbach Falls is one of the 72 waterfalls of the Lauterbrunnen Valley and is located right next to further water spectacles such as the Trümmelbach Falls, which are cut into rock. In the summer the Falls are accessible by means of a narrow path and a rock balcony.
