The Forest Service House is located in the Major square of Sant Martí d'Empúries, a few meters from the church.Its origin dates back to 1910, when the building was constructed by order of the Hydrological and Forestry Service to accommodate the workers in charge of the project to stabilize and reforest the dunes of Empordà. Due to its architectural characteristics, the building is mainly located within the parameters of Modernism.Currently, the building is the headquarters of the Iberia Graeca Foundation, an organization that carries out research projects on the Greek archaeological heritage of the Iberian Peninsula.
