Demonstration of extra highlights in Canon 10D RAW file. This Kodak Grey Scale is over-exposed by three stops. The top image is a JPEG with default parameters. The bottom is the RAW file, converted in Capture One. They are the same exposure; the JPEG was embedded in the RAW file.
