My first trip to Spain (and the EU) was a very enjoyable one and as with all these types of trips, way too short.  Starting from the touristy city of Alicante and its Santa Barbara Castle, I make my way up the coast to Valencia  for the most amazing modern architecture I have ever seen.  Then with a few days to spare I make the most of what is left and visit the capital for a tour of the famous museums and the Royal Palace.
