Mothing at Reveler CA

Reveler Conservation Area

A white cloth and a black light set up at night are the ingredients for attracting moths, and many other insects too, in order to photograph them. Not all moths come to lights, but even so, many do and it is really interesting to see what moths can be found in a given area. June and July are best. Up this way, things are winding down, though there is still a fair bit to see if the night is warm and dry.

Hahaha!!! You are a bit of a crazy woman toting your sheet and light into the woods! I am thinking it sounds like fun!

Looks familiar, except we're using an old table lamp with a CFL black light we got on clearance at Home Depot for .74¢!
