Poor guy!

Beechwood Cemetery

I heard this turkey 'gobbling' away for some time before he made an appearance. He looked rather disconsolate, every so often giving a 'gobble' and a half-hearted spread of his tail, before slumping over and wandering away. Surely one of the females must have said yes to him! I'm pretty sure this is the same turkey in this shot: https://pbase.com/laroseforest/image/171565272 I don't think there are two males at the site.

The very picture of unrequited love.

By the length of that bear, he seems t be an old one. Nice shot.

Spring time is so exhausting for the males! All that energy spent impressing the females.

Interesting pose and great detail. What a difference when viewing your other image of him. "V"

Maybe she was playing hard to get and the date didn’t go as planned.

He does look a bit unhappy in your well timed shot. I hope he found a lady friend! V.

superb capture and sympathetic too...perhaps one did say yes, and he is letting the boys know how well last night went..
