In high school, you helped me understand the beauty of the scientific method. In these galleries, you show the beauty of the world.

I am looking for a nice book or a frameable photo of sand hill cranes for a gift. Is there a photo included in your Birds of Florida book, or do you have others for purchase? What an amazing body of work you have produced.

Dear Larry,

I LOVE your photo of the female Jaguar and Cub. I like the 2009 edition, I saw it on facebook. It seemed slightly blurred at the edges ~ or is that just the facebook image? Where did you take this photograph and how do you get so close up to them? Do you have the 2009 edition for sale?

Kind Regards, Rachel

HI Larry. I just found your website. I went to Pascack Valley HS (graduated in 1970) and one of my colleagues has a son who currently attends PVHS and I asked whether you were still there and he said yes. Well, he was wrong. Your pictures are wonderful. I have a son who is a photographer (he went to the Hallmark Institute of Photography in Massachusetts)and is currently in the process of getting his business degree so he can manage his photography business. I will direct him to your delicious pics. I think you will remember me. I was your student with the really long blond hair that you always said you admired, and I still have it - down to my knees now!! So gald you are well and having a great life. Erna

Hello Mr. Linton,

There is a pending dispute concerning how best to protect the wood stork in an area near Everglades National Park. We are seeking a photograph to help readers get a better understanding of the bird at issue. There is a picture that you took of a wood stork in flight (pbase.com/larrywlinton/image/79294065) that would suit this purpose very well, and we would like to ask about the possiblity of obtaining your permission to use the photograph. If this is a possibility, please call Dave at 305-523-5160 and we can discuss the nature of the desired use in greater detail.

Hi Mr. Linton,
An old classmate from PVHS told me she had seen your profile on FaceBook, so I decided to google your name and found the web sites/galleries of your wildlife photography galleries. Terrific work! And the globe-trotting excursions must be unbelievable experiences.
I've been a self-employed medical illustrator for 30 years now, thanks to the career inspiration I first discovered in your Biology class in HS. Ironically, the profession is definitely not a recession-proof one, so I am currently working towards getting my HS teaching certificate in Biology to supplement that income. How's that for an inverse relationship between our career paths?
Just wanted to say hello and compliment you on your work. If inclined to see any of mine, you can check out my web site at www.ksomervillemedicalart.com.
Glad to hear that life is treating you so well.

Hi Larry

In the early seventies you gave my parents, Nancy and Phil Goodyear, a few black and white photographs of African wildlife. One of them, a great shot of a cheetah, has remained with me since I was 4 years old. It was present on the wall in most of my bedrooms, has been in my apartments, and is now in my office in my house. I was looking at it yet again, and it struck me how long it has been with me and how it brings me all the way back to Erie Ave in Montvale! I figured I would just look you up and tell you how much I, and my family, have enjoyed your work over the years. It is amazing to see all your color work and all the places and creatures you have encountered. Great stuff.

It turned out that my sister Danielle became a photographer as well. She teaches photo at Pascack Hills (see daniellegoodyear.com)

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks!

Dwight

Hi Larry
I Just spent a most enjoyable Hour and a half browsing amongst your beautiful images. I particularly liked the bird galleries. Having recently spoken to you at DPA about the 100 to 400mm. lens we both have, I see why you think so highly about yours. I could count the feathers on the head shots.

Great Job I'll look forward to returning again.

Hi,
I did check out the King Rail and your picture is outstanding. Your work is an inspiration to all of us who try to record what we see in the field as a way of learning and keeping the memory alive.
Also, thanks again for the conversation yesterday at the Celery Fields. Could you recommend any book(s)on basic photography that I should have in my library as a new, struggling person?? Thanks in advance for any advise! Joe (from Indiana)

Hi,
As always, your photographic work is superb. We spent an enjoyable time viewing the animals, birds, and insects that you photographed in the Rain Forest, and also learned the names of "critters" that we didn't know existed. We truly feel so privileged to have access to your marvelous galleries, and since today is the day we meet for dinner and music at Glenridge, we will have the pleasure of being with Pat and you. Lots of hugs, B & B

GREAT pictures. Question: Our daughter Colleen has an art studio and school in Sarasota. Could she extract some of your pictures and paint them in water colors?

Hi Larry,
Wonderful pictures, as usual. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to hearing all about the trip. I'm e-mailing to Ellen. Her daughter is in the Osa Peninsula now, or maybe on the way back. Home tomorrow. Judie and Ralph

Larry, your images are really good, but the ones I looked at are not sized for the web - you have to scroll around them, which is a shame, because there's some great work here.
