Hi,
Thank you for posting these pictures. I have been browsing them. My Grandmother Ruth Jordan was married to Frank Winters in North Tonawanda, NY and I just found this out recently. What is interesting to me is that I live in North Towanda, PA and the closeness of the names are interesting. I have to relook at their certificate and see where they were married and maybe you have a picture of the area or place. Thanks again and great job! Billie Kelley.

I have a photo page scanned of Melody Fair Theater 1959 from my program. I performed at the theater as an extra. If you would like to have it, please send me an email address. I can scan the entire program for Redhead if your are interested in it.

jacob, you did a man's job visioning north tonawanda. yes, like many here it brought a wave of nostalgia through this middle age mans body, but you showed a true artists eye towards your subject and that alone should be a great sense of artistic achievement and personal satisfaction. I'm really enjoying the rest of your prints here.

I was born in Degraff Hospital in 1937....left the city in 1950. Great photos. I enjoyed the Bridge over the Erie canal. The one with the huge cement. Lived very close to that bridge on Sweeney Street. Gene Goldsworthy

I was born in North Tonawanda and lived there until the age of 15. I also lived in New York City for a couple of years and still spend a some time there. I currently live in Europe.

Your photos really stuck a nerve, like very few artists have ever struck within me. Your photos are very evocative of the places you are portraying.

I don't know your intentions, but I do hope to see more of your work published in the future! I will certainly keep an eye out for your name!

Best wishes for your career and my personal regards,

Former NT Girl and NYC lover!

Loved the NT Bars on Oliver Street series and the shots of the Canal. Thank you.

Any photos of Felton Grammar School? Does it still exist?
Jennifer A Shields 04-Feb-2008 17:23
I loved seeing all of your pictures of North Tonawanda, but where is Galassi's? It has been an NT staple since the 1960's or 1970's.
But great photographs!!
Ad the best sub I have ever had!!

Great NT pics. Love the captions. Amazing number of bikes in these NT shots. Most places on the coasts nobody rides bikes anymore except recreators. Did NT miss the fear culture?

Very nice pix. I periodically review your site and find the picture more and more creative.I particularly like the unexplained and imaginative photos that you do.

Jacob, Thank you, again, so much, for contributing some photographs to the literary and arts journal I edit, "Siren." We have received many compliments about your photography, and the other contributors are thrilled to have your work next to theirs. A great showing. We recieve so much email now about "Siren" -- people asking about it, complimenting it, and submitting to it -- it's been a huge success. Thank you x 100 for contributing so much to that success.

And again, Bravo! on some beautiful and evocative art,
Sara Kearns

Hi. I'm your second cousin Jacob in Pittsburgh. I'm in 3rd grade and found your pictures while surfing for other Jacob Kedzierski's. I play drums like your dad and my dad. My favorite band is AC/DC. Good luck with your pictures. They look real good. You look just like my dad David....Mike's cousin.

Thanks for documenting North Tonawanda. I visited it briefly in 2002 when exploring the Erie Canal from Rochester (where I grew up) to the Niagara River. Cheers.

refreshing! It is so nice to run across a photographer that is not about the perfect exposure. its about life, right? Thanks for the confirmation.

Hey Jake. Awsome stuff man. It's crazy to think about how long we've known eachother and yet not even seen eachother. Yet I feel like I'm really looking at a part of who you are now and what I see is really rad! I'm both proud and impressed! Keep up the good work man.

Later.

Jay

Hi there. I came across your galleries via C.L. I'm a "P-baser" too. (yippee1999) I really liked your double-exposure and your NYC 35mm galleries. I'm really new to all this photog. stuff, but what is double-exposure? How do you do that?

Tx!
