After only four hours sleep last night, I was up again at stupid o’clock to try to find 1000 words in my assignment that I could lose without tearing the heart out of it! I managed, eventually, to get rid of them and eventually handed the piece of work in with 12 words to spare. As a piece of my work, I’d say it was distinctly poor but in my defence, the tools I had to work with (none), I reckon it was as good as I could. It was a bit like trying to make a bookcase with nothing more than a bread knife to cut the wood and an old shoe to use to bash in the nails. Not very satisfactory or pretty but the job just about got done and, to continue my bookcase metaphor, I reckon it’d hold a few books (not many though)!
So, I popped into Marks and Sparks and bought a couple of bottles of beer as my reward for submission on time, both of them, as you can see, have been opened this evening! I have decided that M&S is THE place to buy both wine and beer – one of these caps came from a bottle of Greenwich Brewery London Porter (a lovely tipple, if ever I had one) and the other came from a bottle of Ginger Ale from The Unicorn Brewery in Stockport. How brilliant is that? M&S supporting these local breweries and keeping real brewing alive. Carling, Heineken et al put that in your pipe and smoke it!
