We’ve had a change to the newly in place routine today because DM went out very early – more than an hour earlier than normal. (Well, if you can call a routine that has only been in place for two weeks “normal”.) That meant I had the joy of the morning dog walk even though it’s usually his job while I make sandwiches and breakfasts.
Our world had been buffed and polished overnight and everything was gleaming in the morning sun. The wind had dropped and all of nature had been cleaned up. Colours popped, greens zinged and the world seemed like a great place, my bit of it anyway.
When I came back inside, I saw this sight – it’s a shaft of sunlight streaming through the window and illuminating a bottle of extra virgin olive oil that was standing next to the cooker. I think it’s a beautiful sight, not just because of the lit contents of the bottle but also because of the lovely clean cooker (another massive benefit of the induction hob, I have never encountered a cooker this easy to clean because they don’t get hot so nothing sticks to it) and finally, the detailing in the tiling that I DID – all alone and without the aid of a parachute!
