Fiji : the Bula spirit

Bula means hello, welcome and more than this... Bula means you're in the Fiji islands, home to the friendliest people on earth.

The images were taken on a 12 days trip to the Fiji in march 2008 which included Nadi, Kadavu island at Waisalima beach resort, the paradisical Nacula island in the Yasawas at Oarsman's Bay and RakiRaki area north of Viti Levu.

I wonder... how you manage withe the light.

Amazing pics! I would love to have been there. im not familiar with the bula traditions or way of life but i could tell u this, i would love to visit.

Hello Luko: terrific work on display here - "Phone home", "Umbrella" (of course!), "Carry that weight" which reminds me of that crazy Tokyo railway station shot of mine, remember ("The Crack up")? I had to chase these shots all the way here - delightful, and I love Shail's expression here: "Chinese Blue feelings..." Well said. A+ Francis
