Through My Kitchen Window

Happy May Day!
There is a pair of Downy Woodpeckers that live in the park behind my house.
They visit the peanutbutter bar several times every day.
This is the female. The male looks similar, but he has a red spot on the back of his head

We have one lingering in my neighborhood. I am not sure what type as he is never seen to the eye/lense but I sure do hear him

Interesting about the peanut butter -- will have to try that.. Woodpeckers and Flickers are fun to watch. Way to be ready with your camera, Lynn!
