February 6th

First Colony, Sugar Land Texas

Black-bellied Whistling Ducks
They are hoping for some Indian food. :)
This lake is behind a shopping center with several restaurants, including Vietnamese and two Indian places.
The employees throw bread and noodles to the ducks daily.
Pretty, but I don't like them. Very noisy and dirty. Thankfully they are just passing through.

There was about 200 on this bank. The northern race (D. a. autumnalis) breeds from southern Texas through coastal Mexico and Central America.
Pairs most often partner for life

I can see way they are waiting. Asian food is the best. Great POV and composition. V
