Experimental

At Home in Sugar Land, Texas

SO, like many people around the world, we are on lock-down at home.
We have done some home projects, watched a few movies and I've spent more time cooking than I ever have before.
I don't like to cook. I can do it. and it will be good, but I don't enjoy one second of it.
I don't even like to eat what I cook, because I've grown to dislike it as it was being assembled.
True confessions of the house-bound...

I bet it has some great recipes. I hate cooking and love going to restaurants. Unfortunately I don’t think we can do that anytime soon.

Had to laugh at your text, but I love the photo! I am hearing from many that they are either housecleaning or cooking! V

Cooking is a funny thing and not for everyone. You are not alone! A few things! When they say it's made with love you believe it or not one can tell. I like cooking and do the cooking at our house. Even though I am Vegetarian now I will fix something on the smoker/grill if given the chance. I fixed a smoked turkey for my 91 year old neighbor! She was picking at it and giggling as I left her house after dropping it off. I took that as a compliment because she is a really good cook! I cook her muffins in the winter from my own recipe and she loves those those too! Recipes are only guidelines, take out the stuff you don’t like and replace it with something else! I grew up on Appalachian Style cooking, The only thing good to come out of that was my grandmothers cornbread and the secret was how it’s made as much as what’s in it, everything else seemed was overcooked, fried or burnt. All the being said - Were you a picky eater when you were young? Sorry! Over shared! Think I’ll go for a walk…. Good thing I have a large yard!

I love to cook. I cook mostly Asian Food. Maybe another cookbook will help.

Looks like an interesting cookbook, and nicely captured. I'm just the opposite -- I love to cook and look forward to it every evening after I finish work (at home). I even feel lost when Tim cooks on the weekends ;-). V.

potentially wholesome foods will emerge from the recipes, well beyond the 'meat and three' favoured in the Southern Appalachians...perhaps this round of cooking will change your view on the process,,,it can be a slog with all the slicing and mixing, but often gives the best results..
