When I was in l'Inghilterra I was in a taxi when the chatty old style London cabbie mentioned something about "miles per hour".
Me: "Wait, what, you use MILES per hour??"
Him: "Oh yes. We use gallons too."
Me, with incredulous jaw drop: "It's 2019, and you still use GALLONS???"
They still use Guineas as currency too, just to confuse the living heck out of everything.
However I had hoped that l'Irlanda had moved on from that as soon as you repainted your post boxes green.
