Isononyl acrylate is a special type of acrylate found by the reaction of isononyl alcohol and acrylic acid. Various types of acrylates that are obtainable in the market are 2-ethylhexyl acrylate (2-EHA), ethyl acrylate, methyl acrylate, and butyl acrylate. Amongst all the acrylate, Isononyl acrylate has least level of glass transition which assistances in the transforming of rheological properties. Isononyl acrylate is most frequently utilized in paints and coatings. Other applications of isonomy acrylate are in sealant and adhesives.
